Services
Structural Engineering
Fleming & Associates, P.A. has provided structural engineering services throughout the southeast since 1987. In the early years we focused primarily on providing structural consulting services to architects for K-12 schools. Our services quickly broadened to include all types of buildings, infrastructure projects, special inspections, residential and special structural projects. We are often called upon to be the prime consultant to building owners, municipalities, and contractors.
Although many of our projects are large, we take pride in providing quality structural engineering and consulting services on a wide variety of smaller projects that might range from a cracked house foundation to a spillway design. We offer quality structural engineering services at competitive rates for the purpose of providing safe, innovative, economical, durable and attractive structures.
Featured Projects
Building Enclosures
Our firm’s building enclosure department is managed by a Registered Building Enclosure Consultant (RBEC). The department specializes in roof assessments and roof replacement design, exterior wall and window consultation, and exterior waterproofing consultation for more than two decades.
We routinely serve as the prime consultant on county and state construction projects. As the prime consultant, we perform building enclosure assessments, provide drawings and specifications, advertise and conduct bid openings, and perform construction administration and site observation for our projects. As a firm that provides both structural engineering and building enclosure design, our understanding of both the structure and building envelope enables us to provide comprehensive consultation to owners, architects, and contractors.
Featured Projects
Infrastructure Rehabilitation & Forensics
We have extensive experience in providing on-site forensic engineering and retrofit solutions for structures that have been damaged or are under-performing. We have been involved in failure investigations and designed repairs for structures that have been damaged by tornados, hurricanes, earthquakes, fire, explosions, insects, moisture, and impact from collisions.
We routinely perform interior and exterior condition assessments of water and wastewater infrastructure, including projects that require confined space and access at high elevations. Additionally, two of our engineers are also National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) CIP Level II coating inspectors, who inspect high-performance coatings of steel and concrete structures.
