We were hired to design a roof replacement for the Cumberland County Detention center, which has a total area of approximately 192,000 sq. ft. The existing roof system was comprised of light weight insulated concrete over metal deck and modified bitumen. The new roof system installed was a single ply PVC fleece back membrane overlay. The project had various complexities to include building height, multiple roof areas, restricted access due to occupancy, and a historic setting. It was completed on schedule and within budget at a construction cost of $1.17 mil. Or $6.09 per sq. ft.
